The following are all posters I have designed and illustrated,
except where noted, like the last one.
(You can't miss it. It's a mile wide!)
For the Tangletown 4th of July poster,
I used a collage effect with some old school book pictures.
I had to manipulate the illustration to add the
parade elements.
A basic color change added a little variety
when we put them up all over the neighborhood.
This illustration was a pencil sketch on vellum,
enlarged several
times on a photo copier.
The result was gestural and perfect
for the subject matter.
Announcing the Holiday festivities for the Interchange
Building Group.
My own little salute to Picasso. ( Client; Richard Schooley, Castalia, Inc.)

Creativity Summit at St. Thomas University
(Client, Castalia, Inc.)

Two-color poster for St. Anthony Academy Book Drive.
In the original photo, the little boy clutched new shoes.
( Notice he's now clutching a book? )

(My own homage to Andy Warhol)
(Client, FAO Schwartz, Mall of America)

An appearance coinciding with the release of a new CD.
( Client, The Jon deVaal Trio)
This was completely computer generated,
using all casino-themed labels (which I had on file) and Adobe Photoshop.
Large 4' by 6' poster-panels were displayed in a booth
to promote private label business at a Casino Tradeshow.
(Client, Premium Waters, Inc.)
I did not design logo at the top. But I wish they had let me.

Announcing a special appearance at Borders Books in Richfield, MN.
(Client, The Jon deVaal Trio)

This painting, titled "The 3rd Megaton" by Yang Yang, was 54" by 366"
~covering the entire wall of a gallery in the Minneapolis Art Institute at it's Opening.
Yang Yang (pronounced"Young-young") was very gracious when I asked him
to paint his signature over and over.
( Client, Yang Yang for the Minneapolis Institute of Art )
( The poster itself is 13" by 42" inches and sells in the MIA gift shop. )

"And that," she said with a smile, "was that."
